From Julie

What a great year it's been as we count down the days until Christmas!

But before we do that, a few congratulations from the past month.

Our Brisbane Birralee Voices performed beautifully with The Idea of North in November at Brisbane Powerhouse. The choristers were a wonderful addition to this concert and received great praise. I hope they enjoyed the experience and learnt a great deal from The Idea of North.

Last week our Birralee Singers celebrated their end of year concert and awards night, where a number of Birralee Singers graduated into BBV for next year. It was a lovely evening of music and great to see how our choristers have grown over the past year.

This past weekend was full of activity, including the Birralee Blokes and Resonance of Birralee presenting A Touch of Christmas.

On the same evening, a group of BBV and Birralee Singers performed at the Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. The event will be broadcast at 4pm Saturday 21 December and from 6am, Wednesday 25 December on Channel 9.

Congratulations to our choristers on these events and thank you to our conductors and volunteer teams for your ongoing work to ensure these many festive events run smoothly! We're not done yet, with a few final events for 2019 detailed below.

On another note, registrations are open for our 2020 intake! Next year will be an extremely special time as we celebrate Voices of Birralee's 25th anniversary. A reminder that current members must re-enrol, and we invite you to spread the word with friends and family who might be interested in being a part of this momentous year.

Also, please note the Voices of Birralee office will be closed from 13 December 2019 until 20 of January 2020 for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Wishing you all the very best for the festive season and a safe and happy New Year from everyone at Voices of Birralee!

Until next time,
