Here’s the dish.

For Those Who Love Sweets. Still at the top of Francesca’s gift-giving list is Laurie & Sons. Their handmade confections are top notch. Try a box of their Handpainted Chocolate Bonbons, or the Dark Chocolate Toffee with Maine Sea Salt & Tellicherry Pepper. Jessie’s Nutty Cups for peanut butter cup lovers. Filled with quality ingredients, they make great stocking stuffers, or send someone special a subscription to their “cup of the month club.”  For those who are looking for vegan, gluten-free or soy-free options we love Eat Chic Chocolates. Their Classic Collection of 16 Nut Butter Cups are filled with organic spices and flavors that create this unique gift box. We continue to promise that Mouth Party Caramels will be among the most delicious you’ve ever tasted—and adorned with the most beautiful bows. Best of all, they donate 10 percent of their profits to cancer initiatives and organizations. We don’t know anyone who wouldn’t love Catskill Provisions small batch Chocolate Honey or Honey Whiskey Truffles that are hand packed and wrapped in a honeycomb-embossed box with a chic brown bow.

Season’s Snackings. Whether sending a gift or preparing for your own entertaining, these artisans provide snackable delights. Dried fruit jerky from Watermelon Road comes in four flavors: Apple Pie, Pineapple Mojito, Watermelon Lemonade and Mango Margarita. Buy one of each, toss them in one of their super hip pink totes, and you’ve got a great gift. Or, keep it real and eat the peel with Rind Snacks, perfect bites for the health enthusiasts on your list. Inside Brooklyn Brittle’s fun gift boxes, you’ll find combinations of crunchy treats in flavors like Rosemary Parmesan, Espresso Chip and Cinnamon Walnut. If a giant limited edition tin of popcorn is on your list, consider one from Bjorn Qorn, our favorite solar-popped, naturally seasoned snack from the Rondout Valley.

Fill Their Pantry. We love these two company’s sauces so much so that we’ve been know to eat the sauce straight from the jars. Francine’s Outrageous Kitchen’s Fudge and Toffee Sauces are decadent gifts for those ice cream sundae lovers! Her charming holiday gift box holds three, 8-oz. jars sauces (your choice of flavors!) beautifully tied with red satin ribbon. 25% off any order with the mention of Hello 150ish. The Ardent Homesteader’s Cara-Sel Salted Caramel Sauce is undeniably good. For a limited time they are available in mini jars! Tuck those into anyone’s stocking! Subscribers receive 10% with code 150ish.  A gift box from Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils featuring their Sunflower Oil, Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar and Truffle Oil, is sure to impress. They will be offering free shipping on orders $25 or more during Thanksgiving weekend through Cyber Monday, use promo code: SHIP4FREE. Atina Foods Ayurvedic line of condiments amp up anyone’s cooking with collections of distinctive herbal jams. We love the Inji Puli, a ginger tamarind flavor, it’s spicy with an aromatic kick! And inspired by more Indian flavors, Brooklyn Delhi is offering 15% off with code BD150, on their new simmer sauces, pair them with Chitra Agrawal’s vegetarian cookbook, Vibrant India and you’ll make any Indian food lover very happy. Every jar of Red Bee Honey has a unique flavor profile such as Oaxaca, Star Thistle, Lime Tree, or our favorite Buckwheat. If you hate peeling garlic, Rockerbox Spice Co. has you covered. Find Black Garlic, Pickled Garlic, Garlic Dust, or Garlic Flakes, or choose the Deluxe Gift Box with 12 large jars, and any $30 order ships for free. And speaking of spices, Spice Tree Organics sources the highest quality organic spices, so if you’ve got a Halal Cart Chicken nut they have you covered or try their Best Sellers Tin Gift Set, which comes with a recipe card for each blend and a free set of measuring spoons. Backyard Brine gets us into the spirit with Holiday Thyme, a special seasonal batch of their hand-packed pickles.

Baked by Someone Else. Find traditional German holiday baked goods at Sweet and Salzig, this season they are introducing Stollen Deluxe – made with organic lard – the ultimate Oma Stollen, but choose soon because they only ship their special stollen until 12/13. We’re thrilled that Craig Thompson of Shadaken Bake continues to bake in the Catskills. You’ll find his pies and pastries at The Catskill Pines in Mt. Tremper. You’ll be reading more about Heritage Bakers later this winter, but if you’re a Popover lover, head to their bakery in Glen Cove, LI for an incredible treat for your holiday table. Popovers are available in Plain or Parmesan and mini versions in Cinnamon Sugar. We love to stop in at Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery’s cozy shop on Greenwich Avenue, but you can also order gifts or desserts directly from their website. For Moroccan flavors, Meska Sweets rolled out the first of its kind Moroccan Macaron line. Their Alambra Assortment of 36 Moroccan Treats in a 4 layer box makes a lovely gift. Many of their treats are Kosher, dairy and gluten-free. For those who like it sweet and savory, Savor has added a few more flavors to their amazing line of cookies. Order Black Olive or Black Olive Orange along with 150ish favorites Lavender, Coconut Ginger, and Dried Shallot, and fill one of their blue gift boxes. You’ll be styling!

Feel the Holiday Heat. Here’s a spicy selection for the chile heads on your list. Small Axe Peppers Hot Sauce empowers community gardens by purchasing their locally grown peppers for their hot sauces. We love this company and their New York City Three Pack, which includes their signature Bronx and Queens 7 sauces. Use promo code: 150ish for 10% off.  You’ll find Mikes Hot Honey, the original and still the best, online. He has mini jars and individual squeeze packets alongside his 12-ounce squeeze bottles, which we think are great for stocking stuffing. Always tuck a bottle (or two!) of Salemme Pepper in that stocking, too. A selection of Redhead products would also be much appreciated. Francesca loves their Fig & Chile Sauce to serve with her cheese plates and the Bloody Mary Mix is outstanding.

Stock Their Bar Cart. To spike or not to spike? If you’re gifting in the non-spike category, we love TÖST, a sparkling beverage that provides the celebratory air of Champagne without the alcohol. It’s the one bottle for everyone. For those in the spiked category, perhaps start with one of the traditional beverages associated with the holidays, a bottle of Hetta Glögg. Their beautiful bottles are wrapped in thick off-white cloth sacks and if you visit their tasting room in Kingston, NY. Satisfying sippers for the dessert table come in many flavors at Don Ciccio e Figli. We’re partial to the Limoncello and Fico D’India, which also mixes nicely into cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, we still think Cocktail Kits to Go make great stocking stuffers or Secret Santa gifts. These clever little tins contain all you need, except the alcohol, to make an Old Fashioned, Gin Smash, Mint Julep, Martini, or a Champagne Cocktail. Woodward Extract Co. produces fine extracts that will add just the right touch to your holiday cocktails and baking. They also offer a wonderful Cardamom Mulling Kit that’s perfect for the season. Pratt Standard our favorite, small-batch cocktail mixers help make you the best at-home bartenders. Add their 8-ounce bottles of True Tonic, Rich Simple, True Ginger and Grenadine to your bar.

Something Special. We included this last year and believe it’s still unique and fantastic. Consider a gift certificate for a class through The League of Kitchens, an immersive cooking experience where immigrants teach intimate cooking workshops in their homes. It’s perfect for anyone curious about Uzbek, Lebanese, Indian or Argentine cooking, or who just wants to share a warm and welcoming cooking class experience. A knife skills class at Haven’s Kitchen is another gift idea for anyone from experienced home cooks to those who have never boiled water. Use one of their wonderful pantry products to wrap the gift certificate. Located in heart of the historic Hudson Valley, “field-to-glass” Hillrock Distillery offers behind-the-scenes tasting tours with five of their award winning whiskeys. Perusing the Row 7 Seeds site makes us wish for a garden. Started by Chef Dan Barber and breeders these are the ultimate seeds dedicated to deliciousness. And here’s a tip for anyone shopping for us at 150ish — we would love the gift of a CSA subscription. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and joining means you purchase a share of produce from a regional farmer. By paying upfront, you enable the farmer to purchase seed and prepare for the season ahead. In return, you receive a weekly delivery of fresh, local produce as it ripens throughout the growing season. To easily find a CSA in the five boroughs, visit Just Food.

Happy Thanksgiving and happy shopping!
