Three New Clubs in November

We have much to be thankful for this holiday season. Students from God's Bible School in the Clifton area started their club at Taft Elementary School on November 6th, while the Fairfield South Elementary club hosted by Rolling Hills Baptist Church began November 11th and the revived and expanded team for John Paul Parker Elementary Schoool in Madisonville began November 25th. Both Taft and Fairfield South clubs are beginning with the series, God: the Creator King while John Paul Parker is beginning with God's Sovereignty: the Life of Joseph.

God's Sovereignty: the Life of Joseph
Many Good News Clubs are starting the school year with lessons learned from the life of Joseph.

This six-lesson series on the life of Joseph helps guide the children to trust God even in hard situations. The lessons include a history of Jacob’s family and God’s promise to send the Redeemer through this family; Joseph's life from favored son, to slave, to prisoner, to a ruler of Egypt, and God’s control over it all. Throughout these lessons, children are pointed to Jesus, the Savior who came from Jacob’s family. They will also learn to trust God because He has control of their life and He will work things together for their good.
Encouragement for the Troops
by Carolyn Horton, Lebanon, Ohio Good News Club team member

I was standing at the checkout counter at Bob Evans when a woman came up to me and asked if I was Mrs. Horton from Good News Club. I had trouble placing her at first until she introduced herself as Sarah and that she was Ava's mom. Ava was in Donovan Elementary's club a couple years ago. Sarah went on to tell me that they were just talking about Good News Club the other day and how much Ava learned and enjoyed it.
I was so happy to learn about the impact we made on this young lady that I wanted to pass it along to other volunteers as encouragement. We don't often see the fruits of our labor and the significant kingdom impact we have on children's lives. But it's there. God is working.
