זוג קשישים עוזבים את הבית שלהם, את הסביבה שלהם, את הקהילה שעמה חיו עשרות שנים. הם כבר מוגדרים כדיירים סרבנים בפרויקט פינוי בינוי, ויודעים שאם ימשיכו לרצות לגור בביתם, הם ייתבעו בסכומי עתק.

במקום פועלת ללא לאות כבר עשרים שנה. סייענו לעשרות אלפי אנשים לממש את זכויותיהם לבית, לסביבה מתוכננת, לחלוקת משאבים הוגנת במרחב, לתכנון שרואה קודם כל את האדם. אנחנו מנגישים מידע לקהילות מוחלשות ולציבור הרחב, אנחנו מסייעים להם בהגשת התנגדויות והתדיינויות עם הרשויות, אנחנו מגדירים איתם עקרונות תכנון המתאימים לצרכיהם ואורחות חייהם, אנחנו מגנים עליהם מפני העברה בכפייה והריסות בתים, פועלים להכרה בכפרים לא מוסדרים, לתכנון שפותר צרכי דיור, תשתיות ושירותים. אנחנו פועלים לחשיפה ושינוי של מדיניות מפלה ופוגענית ולמען תכנון שהאדם במרכזו. לפעמים אנחנו גם מקימים גינות משחק לילדים בשיתוף עם קהילות מקומיות.
תכנון מרחבי הוגן וצודק, זה ששם את האדם – כל אדם, במרכז הוא המפתח לחיים בכבוד: מקורת גג, דרך נגישות לשירותי בריאות וחינוך, חשמל ומים זורמים ועד לגני משחקים לילדים.

Bimkom has worked tirelessly for twenty years. We have helped tens of thousands of people realize their rights to a home, to a planned community, to a fair distribution of public infrastructure, and most importantly, to planning that prioritizes people.
We make sure people have the information they need and assist them in filing objections, and negotiating with the authorities. We help them define planning principles that are appropriate for their needs, culture, and way of life. We strive to protect them from home demolitions and displacement. We promote recognition for unrecognized villages and planning that provides housing, infrastructure, and services. We work to bring to light discriminatory planning policies, and fight to change them. We've even worked with a few communities to build much-needed playgrounds!
Fair and just spatial planning, planning that puts people first, is the key to every person’s right to live in dignity. Whether this means simply putting a roof over someone’s head or planning neighborhoods that allow for access to health and education services, electricity and running water, Bimkom is leading the movement for equal planning.
