LAS TO VISIT LUNENBURG TOWN COUNCIL
We've been given the opportunity to introduce our goals and art to Lunenburg Town Council on Tuesday, December 10 at 5:15 pm in Town Hall.
Participation is open to any LAS members. Bring one sample of your art to represent your work and show the diversity of our members and styles. We will be in and out before 6 pm. All are welcome to attend to show support.
Don't assume the short time means this is not worthwhile. Any time we can show our cheerful and creative faces to a body that makes important decisions in our area, it's important.
Contact Jan Hull president@lunenburgartsociety.ca, to reserve your space.

The weather outside may be frightful,
but these show in our gallery will be delightful:
Hello, Members:
Last issue, I invited you to help out with the tasks listed below for 2020. I haven't heard from you yet. Sure, next season seems far away, and you're busy, but the programs you enjoy need planning now so they'll run the way you want them to next season.

If Members don't step forward to take on the Society's tasks, some will not happen. Some of us have shouldered far more than our share of tasks in order to keep them going during a time of reorganization, but there's a limit to what we can continue to do, to be fair.
We encourage you to join us, to bring your skills, your ideas, and your energy.
Let's discuss how you can help, a little or a lot, with these:
  • Planning Paint Lunenburg ART Festival (formerly Paint Sea on Site)
  • Marketing & Social Media, website
  • Members' Gallery: many aspects
  • Exhibitions Gallery: many aspects
  • Hospitality: opening receptions, other events
  • House Manager: check for minor upkeep, rentals
  • Earl Bailly Collection: many aspects
  • ArtCaravan, planning & organizing
  • Grant writing
  • and the all-important Gallery Attendants
Contact me anytime:president@lunenburgartsociety.ca. Thanks for listening. - Jan Hull

WISH LIST
The Gallery is like most homes: we want extra money and that thing money can't buy - space! Last issue, we offered some stacking chairs FREE. Two nice people came and took (most of) them away, and left donations. Nice!

We want to replace those bulky chairs with folding chairs that store safely in limited space and don't need physical strength to stack them.

Do you have some sturdy folding chairs (no arms) you're not using? We can pick them up and leave you with that precious commodity - space!

As well as chairs, we may need something you're about to re-gift, or discard. A set of serving bowls? A good computer with up-to-date software? A shop vac? We wish for those, too.
