November Update from AAA Play

Summer is nearly here! With the sunshine out, the days are longer, drawing more people outside to explore what the world has to offer. It's a great time of year to make new connections, feel good and learn new skills. Playing sport is a great way to do this and can be an awesome motivator, so why not try a new sport, join a fitness class, and meet some new friends!

At AAA Play, we can help. Go to www.aaavic.org.au to find a sport or recreation activity, or a leisure centre near you, and let's have some fun this summer.

In the Spotlight

International Day of People with Disabilities - December 3rd

International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD) is coming up and we can't wait!

IDPWD is a special time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability, as well as increase public awareness, understanding of, and engagement with this vibrant community.

This year the theme is 'The Future is Accessible', reminding us that together we all have a responsibility to work towards a future that is truly accessible for everyone. Have a look further down at some of our sports that are doing just that!

There are so many activities happening on the day and during the week to celebrate IDPWD across Victoria, we've compiled a handy list of some of the events across Victoria for you here

Looking Forward: Disability Sport and Recreation's IDPWD Festival

AAA Ambassador News

It was great to have our most recent ambassador, Tony Langdon, at our Run, Walk, Roll event with Reclink Australia! It was the last Run, Walk, Roll for the year, and we enjoyed beautiful weather as we completed a lap of the Tan Track and had a BBQ lunch. Tony's athletics training has been paying off as he was one of the fastest around the track on the day!
