Jesuit Collaboration for Global Citizenship Education

The international conference on Jesuit Collaboration for Global Citizenship Education took place on Tuesday, 19th of November at Universidad Loyola Andalucía, Spain. This conference brought together leaders of different Jesuit higher education institutions and other Jesuit global initiatives.
 
This international conference was a great opportunity to learn more about Jesuit collaboration and the potential of the higher education network, IAJU, to educate global citizens. The conference allowed international attendees to share their knowledge and experience, which will hopefully result in further synergies, cooperation and joint projects.

La conferencia internacional sobre la Colaboración Jesuita para la Educación en Ciudadanía Global tuvo lugar el martes 19 de noviembre en la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, España. Esta conferencia reunió a líderes de diferentes instituciones jesuitas de educación superior y otras iniciativas jesuitas globales.

Esta conferencia internacional fue una gran oportunidad para aprender más sobre la colaboración jesuita y el potencial de la red jesuita de educación superior, IAJU, para educar a ciudadanos globales. La conferencia permitió a los asistentes internacionales compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias, lo que esperamos que se traduzca en más sinergias, cooperación y proyectos conjuntos.

Joint Letter to U.S.A. Secretary of State

The International Association of Jesuit Universities, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU), together with the Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) and the North America Jesuit Conference, Office of Justice and Ecology, has issued a joint letter to Hon. Michael R. Pompeo, United States Secretary of State, urging the United States to condemn recent acts of violence in Nicaragua.

IAJU International Conference on Ignatian Reconciliation

From crisis and conflict to healing and forgiveness: How are peace, justice and reconciliation possible.

All researchers from Jesuit Higher Education Institutions are invited to send their contributions on experiences of reconciliation to the conference. These experiences shall feature at least some of the following elements:

  • Have a conceptual framework on reconciliation

  • Have been applied in a community, in the territory

  • Be preferably interdisciplinary

  • Have documented results
