Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story, those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron. A Season of Gratitude

As we take time to write this far too overdue newsletter, we find ourselves between Thanksgiving and that joyous time of year, Christmas. Both of us have reflected how grateful we are to be doing the work that we have been called to do.

We are also grateful for each of you, our partners. Thank you for your heart for missions. Through your prayer and financial partnership, you are answering the call to "Make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Then comes God's great promise, "Surely I am with you always to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

Paul says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Jesus Christ you are serving." (Colossians 3:24-25)

What joy in serving the Lord together, that all may know.

Ellie’s Role

As a Senior Philanthropy Advisor, Ellie has the privilege to thank donors for blessing men, women, and children who have never heard of Jesus and His amazing love. Many tribes and nations are now holding the Word of God in their heart language and have the Holy Spirit in their hearts rejoicing in the sanctifying work of God and His saving grace.

Prayer is a precious gift God gives us. Our faith grows deeper and our love for others grows stronger. Before each call, Ellie spends time in prayer for each donor, thanking God for them and their role in sharing the gospel with those who have never heard, asking the Lord to bless them as they bring glory to His name

Gary’s Travel

Gary has had a significant amount of travel in the past several months. As part of a project for a potential program for use world-wide by Bible translation teams in the field, he has traveled to Tanzania and to the Ivory Coast to find out from the people there what ideas they have for designing this new program.
 
He traveled to Kandern, Germany near the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, for a meeting with the SIL (a partner organization of Wycliffe) leadership of Cameroon and the Eastern Congo Group (which is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo), in order to discuss their strategy and workforce needs for the next three to five years.

He traveled twice to Holzhausen, Germany as well. Once to conduct some project management training and to meet with members of the Global Partnership Team with representation from around the world. The second time was to meet with the Human Resources Leadership of the SIL Eurasia team.
 
We expected a significant amount of travel, but this was more than we foresaw. We do see this as a blessing, however, as Gary has had the opportunity to work with so many different people from around the world and to experience the Kingdom work that is happening in many places, particularly in Africa and Eurasia.
