Family Update
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope that each of you enjoyed your time with your family and friends, and also had some amazing food. But more than that we hope you were able to give the Lord thanks for the amazing things He is always doing around each of us. Even when we are not watching, He is always at work and has us in His hands. When I thought about what to be thankful for I thought back to 3 years ago, it was when God let us start this dream that we had to become a reality. We started to raise money and pray for Burkina, and all that He wanted to do. A little less than 3 years ago we were standing under a tree on the land the village gave us praying for the Lord to direct our ways and help us make all the dreams in our hearts to come true. As we stand in that same land today, I am blown away by all that God has accomplished and allowed to happen. For that I am beyond words grateful and cannot praise His name enough! For He is worthy of all praise for this ministry and everything in it.
I am also so incredibly grateful for Barto, who is strong, wise, patient, and kind, a reflection of Christ to the ones around him. For our 3 girls I am also grateful, each of them are so unique and special, I am constantly amazed by how fast they are learning and also how they have adapted to life here. They are building friendships with the kids in the area and learning the language well. I am so proud of each of them! I am also so thankful for each of you, who have helped us in this entire journey, who prayed and supported us in every way, we could not be here without all of you. We praise God for all He has done, and will continue to do. He is always faithful, in good and hard times.
We were able to paint the outside of our house this month, and it looks so nice. We hope to soon paint the inside, along with doing some electrical work and getting more solar batteries. We would also love to tile the house in time; in all if we can raise another $4,000 we can cover all of that. It is really nice to see our house become a home where our children are growing and learning. The Tuesday night prayer meetings are going well, and also the women’s garden project is starting up again for the year. We usually have close to 40 women and children come on Tuesdays, and we have 23 women involved in the garden project.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
