Innovation Center
The Scottsdale Unified School District Board voted 5-0 to move forward on the Saguaro Innovation Center project. This million-dollar facility will bring be a place where individuals or groups of students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of materials. Saguaro will be the first school in our district to have comprehensive maker type space. The Farley Foundation has committed to grant funds to help provide the machinery that will include CNC machines, 3D printers, wood and metalworking machines, and much more. The facility is scheduled to be ready sometime in August 2020. Thank you to all of the students, parents, community members and staff that have spent so many hours, donating their time, to make this project a reality.
Congratulations to our football team, who beat Hamilton
in the Open Division State Semi-Finals!
Saguaro will be playing Chandler on Saturday 12/7 at ASU in the Open Division State Championship game. With a win, the Sabercats will secure their 7TH STRAIGHT State Championship!
We hope to see everyone at the game! GO CATS!

CAROLERS FOR HIRE
Want to make your holiday party really special? Hire some of the award winning Saguaro Choir students to come sing carols at your event! You can even pay using your AZ Tax Credit for this year. Groups of 8-12 singers attired in formal tuxedos and gowns will delight your guests with background music for up to an hour for $400. All proceeds go to funding the annual choir trip - this year to New Orleans. The group sings a combination of sacred and secular carols and has been performing for nearly 30 years at Paradise Valley Country Club, so the quality is superb. If you are interested in booking a group, please contact the Saguaro Choir Director, GayLin Tutnick at gtutnick@susd.org.
Librarian, Leslie O’ Shea, is looking for sewing machines and sewing stuff (thread, needles, buttons, etc.) to be used in her after school club. If you are able to donate a newer working machine(s) it would go to good use.
Thank you!
