MAKING MOBILITY MOVES

An update on all things Autotech.
Q4, 2019
As we near the end of 2019 and get ready for colder temperatures, the transportation sector is heating up. In case you missed it, our own Daniel Hoffer was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal. We must have driven some clicks (pun intended), because a few weeks later, they featured us again. Can't get past the paywall? No worries. We were also featured in FreightWaves speaking on the role that mobile phones play in helping shape the future of mobility.
Talking about transportation is something we love to do. In fact, we love it so much that we just launched a new video series called Autotalk, where we meet our portfolio founders to discuss the ways we're pushing the transportation industry forward together.

In Episode Two, Alexei Andreev sits down with Volta Charging founder Scott Mercer as he outlines his vision for a future of increased electric vehicle use and the expansion of Volta's free charging station network.
EXPANDING OUR FLEET

Join us in welcoming Dave McShane to the team as our Executive Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. Dave joins Autotech from Ricardo -- the world's leading transportation technology consulting firm. With experience consulting for both major corporations and startups, Dave is uniquely positioned to help Autotech bridge the gap between our portfolio companies and our corporate partners. Dave was President of the software division at Ricardo and previously served in board advisory roles for Wellington Drive TechnologiesTour Engine and Antenum
Q: Dave, why did you join Autotech?

A: It was an easy decision. I'm passionate about the commercialization of the next generation of technologies and companies that will reshape mobility. Autotech is uniquely positioned to grow new companies and ideas with its corporate partners and pathways to success in connecting the startup and transportation industry. I am delighted to be part of this team.

A GATHERING OF THE MINDS (AND CLASSIC CARS)

In October, we hosted our Technical Advisory Board meeting, a bi-annual gathering of ten of our strategic Limited Partners -- some of the world’s leading experts in the transport sector. In attendance were senior executives representing some of the largest and most respected corporations in the transportation industry. The event was an opportunity for them to share their perspectives on the latest developments in their respective spaces as well as debate about overarching trends and the trends’ significance for the industry in terms of threats and opportunities.

Lastly, thanks to those of you who made it out to the second annual Marketplace Conference on November 19th, 2019 in Berlin!  Once again we sold out with a record 600+ attendees.
