Dear Phoenix Modern Families,

We continue our gratitude! As we enter the last month of our first semester together, we reflect on how blessed we are by the Phoenix Modern community - you!  Thank you to all who helped coordinate our gratitude potluck and for everyone who attended. We had such a great time socializing and bonding more as a community.

There are are few more big ways that you can engage with Phoenix Modern this month. Our second round of exhibitions start this week! Please see below for times. Also, see info below for how you can participate in Giving Tuesday (at no cost to you) and volunteer during our lunch hour. Our ability to flourish depends on the generosity of time and resources of many people working together! Thank you!

Congratulations to Andrew and his wife Alicia, who welcomed baby Adeline to their family last week. Andrew will be taking paternity leave for the next few weeks, so Charlie will be your primary point of contact for administrative needs in December. While Andrew is spending quality time caring for his growing family, we welcome any volunteers to help with pick up, drop off, and lunch duties. It truly takes a village to raise our children, and we greatly appreciate your help!

Arriving on Time
This is just a friendly reminder to please ensure your children arrive on time each day. We start at 8:30, so please do your best to drop off kids by 8:25 each morning. Late arrivals can interrupt our morning circle and the children miss out on some valuable community building time when arriving late.

#GivingTuesday Kicks off our Tax Credit Campaign! We need your support.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. 

Please consider giving to Phoenix Modern this Tuesday! One great way to give is through the Arizona Tax Credit Program.

Arizona law allows for couples who file jointly to donate up to $400 and single taxpayers up to $200 each year and claim a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for contributions made to public schools (including charter schools) in Arizona for the support of extracurricular activities or character education programs.  Our goal this year is 100 tax credits by December 15!  Look for emails and social media on Tuesday and please share this opportunity with 3-5 friends or family members in Arizona.  We can meet this goal in two weeks if we work together. Calling all Experts!
We know that many of you have incredible skills to share with our community! If you are an artist, musician, yogi, coder, chef, chess wizard, awesome human, and would like to teach an extracurricular class for our children or greater community, please let jessica@phoenixmodern.org know. We'd love your help in expanding our program options.

Are lunch and recess your favorite times of day?
We are seeking volunteers to help with lunch and recess duty from 12:00-1:00. Ideally, volunteers would be able to come on a regular basis, on whatever day(s) you are available. If you are interested in this opportunity, please reach out to Operations Director, Charlie Kaplan, at charles@phoenixmodern.org.

Who doesn't enjoy the smell of fresh lamination, or the feeling of copies hot off the press?
