Imperative Theatre

The reviews are coming in, and audiences and critics are calling The Hours That Remain "Must See Theatre"!

FOUR STARS!
"a deeply moving portrait of a family torn apart by grief and a lack of closure ... There are indelible scenes in The Hours That Remain that may linger with you for days (it's with good reason that Theatre by the River has arranged for support workers from Wa-Say Healing Centre to be on hand for anyone who needs to talk after the show). For that reason, and for the conversations it should inspire, it's imperative theatre." - Jill Wilson, Winnipeg Free Press

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
"Intense, excellent play...had me laughing at times and bawling my eyes out the next, I’d recommend it as a have to see, take your kokum, your aunts and especially your daughters. EGOSI!"

"We saw the show Friday evening. Intense, powerful, thought provoking. Highly recommended."

"Look y’all gotta see the hours that remain from theatre by the river. That is all."

GET TICKETS!

Thank you to all of our donors as well as The Winnipeg Foundation, the Winnipeg Arts Council, the Manitoba Arts Council, the Johnston Group, Assiniboine Credit Union, Great Plains Publications, Vantage Printing and the Red River Co-op for making this project possible.

Holiday Giving

Donors like you are our heroes. Because of you we can program plays that may not always draw huge crowds. Thinking about what stories it's important to share, and how theatre brings communities together, is what we focus on, because of our generous donors. If you want to support imperative theatre, consider Theatre by the River in your annual giving. Every dollar has an impact!
