To Parents of Juniors:

The counselors at Park City High School have met with your juniors in their US History classes on December 10th & 11Th  to provide curriculum for college & career planning. In conjunction with this event, we would like to invite you to schedule an individual meeting time with your student’s counselor. The appointments begin on January 6th and continue through the end of February. You may begin scheduling appointments at your earliest convenience.

You can sign up for an appointment online with your student's counselor:

Dara Smith (A-E last names):  calendly.com/darasmith/ccr

Heather Briley (F-La last names): calendly.com/hbriley/ccr

Liz Moskal (Le-Ri last names): calendly.com/moskal/ccr

Kristen Hall (Ro-Z last names): calendly.com/kristenhall/ccr

Shannon Hase (assigned students): calendly.com/shase/ccr

Or you can contact the counseling secretary, Ashlee Jensen, by phone or email to set up your CCR appointment @ (435) 645-5657 or asjensen@pcschools.us

Please note that the appointments fill up quickly. Registration for senior year will be at the beginning of March so it is important to meet prior to that to understand graduation requirements. Meetings last approximately 45 minutes and take place during regular school hours.

Did you know the theme for this year's NHS Food Drive is the Olympics?  Each hallway is assigned a country, and classrooms in that hallway collect points based on food items that are donated.  For example, canned foods are worth 10 points. Each classroom must meet a limit of 3000 points by this Thursday and the hallway with the most points at the end is awarded pizza. Right now, Mr. Fober's class is in the lead with 12,910 points, Mrs. Waller is close behind with 9,346 points, and the 230s hallway, Italy, is the in lead with a high total of 24,302 points!

The last day of the food drive is Thursday, December 19. All proceeds benefit local community members who are in need of assistance to provide meals for their families. Hygiene items, baby food, beans, bottled water, canned foods, coats (in good condition), peanut butter, soup, and many more items are graciously accepted.
Parents, Coaches, Directors, Teachers, and Students,

For the past 2 years, PCHS Especially for Athletes was challenged to come up with a service project as part of their commitment to "Eyes Up - Do the Work."

One of our baseball student-athletes, Ben Agnew, proposed a holiday meal service to families-in-need in Park City. He recruited the help of the Christian Center to help identify families that could benefit. The last 2 years have been a great success and we had a fantastic turnout for this project that provided full meals to families in need in the Park City area.

Ben's younger brother Will has now taken over the operation.

This year the primary goal is to have 400 meals delivered to those in need in Park City (roughly $10,000 needed) and a secondary goal of 400 meals delivered to Heber/Midway ($10,000).

The project will take place on the morning of Saturday, December 21st at PCHS.

Please consider joining us in this effort in spreading some holiday cheer by getting your teams, clubs, or groups involved. ALL ARE WELCOME.

We will assemble meals and stage the event from Park City High School.

Volunteers are needed to help bag and prep the meals at the high school (approx. 9:30am-11:00am) and also to help with delivery of the meals (approx. 11:00am-1:00pm).

Sign up to volunteer here

Donate here.  $25 buys a full family meal!

Donations should be made through "Christmas Dinners" under the Donation Specifications tab. We want to make a point this year that all donations of any amount are much appreciated, but $25 can buy a full meal for a family. The more donations we receive the more meals we can deliver. We appreciate the generosity and willingness of Park City Families to donate and volunteer for this great project.

If you have any questions please contact Will Agnew wagnew22@pcstudents.us
In June 2020 the Park City-based non-profit Padma Organization will lead several service trips to Bali and Thailand for Utah high school students.  On Bali and neighboring islands, students will help restore coral reef, work in a plastic recycle center, and tutor children. Our expedition to Thailand will include marine conservation work on the island of Koh Tao.  In addition to the work, students can learn to surf, scuba dive, snorkel, swim with manta rays, and hike through rainforests.  Applications are due by December 20th.  Scholarships and financial aid available.  To learn more and apply contact Mr. Murphy, the faculty trip leader at gmurphy@pcschools.us
