HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I'm so happy you're here. I'm hoping you are feeling deep peace, calm and unconditional love that is the true essence of this time of year. It's so easy to become caught up in the sensory overload of holiday time and I'd like to share a few tips to help you truly relax and enjoy, nourish yourself and feel content and peaceful.  It's time to celebrate and still remain balanced and healthy. It's time to pause, give yourself some quality time, and experience the healing benefits of deep rest. I hope you enjoy these tidbits to create a vibrant, radiant, joyful and restful season!

Digest + Rest
This time of year can place a huge deal of stress and strain on our digestive system. If our digestive strength is weak or sluggish or compromised, the food we eat cannot be processed effectively... and it turns into systemic, toxic sludge...YUCK!  Here are some simple things you can do to help your inner fire metabolize a season of rich holiday foods and drinks:

1. Eat Warm, well cooked foods ~ say no to cold foods and ice
2. Try your best to eat your largest meal before 2pm
3. Use digestive herbs: ginger, coriander, cumin, cardamom, fennel
4. Sip warm water in equal amounts to alcoholic drinks
5. Tone up organs of digestion and elimination with AgniSara
AGNI SARA
Yes, you can do this too!
Sit or stand with hands on thighs and bend forward slightly with straight back
Exhale all your breath out
With breath held out, begin pulling navel back and upward
Pump your navel in and out a few times
Relax and breathe normally

Power down ALL electronics at least 1 hour before bed
Massage feet and hands with warm sesame oil
Drink a cup of golden milk or chamomile tea
Inhale silently saying mantra SOOOO,
exhale HUUMMM
