ANNOUNCING NICK SCOTT AS THE OPENING SPEAKER
At the age of 16, Nick Scott was an ordinary teenager with an interest in athletics, when a near fatal traffic accident changed life as he knew it...forever. After the accident Nick became overweight and discouraged, but somehow found the determination, mindset and personal strength to transform his life from a debilitating tragedy into a personal triumph. Now he uses those hard-won insights to help others awaken the beast within themselves and achieve their personal goals.

As a professional speaker, author, professional bodybuilder, wheelchair ballroom dancer, and personal trainer, Nick Scott uses his enthusiasm, vision, convictions, abilities, and life experience to reach out, to inspire and give hope to others, especially those unaware of the personal strength they can tap into if only they will believe and try. Nick's sheer strength of will has helped transform thousands of individuals - from professional athletes to senior executives - as well as organizations and corporations across the country. Nick inspires others to break through to new levels of peak performance and success.

Vested in helping others, Nick Scott speaks honestly from the heart of his passion, combined with expert knowledge and personal experience. He blows people away with his vision, ambition, and the speed at which he implements his philosophies and ideas. Speaking as an individual with a physical disability, Nick Scott shares the message:

"Success Is Not A Destination; Success Is The Journey!"

FIRST-EVER MISSOURI HOSA COMPETITVE EVENTS PREPARATION WORKSHOP WAS A SUCCESS!
Please see the message below from Hallie Holst, the Missouri HOSA 2019-2020 State Secretary regarding our most recent Missouri HOSA statewide event:

Missouri HOSA’s first-ever Competitive Events Preparation Workshop was a success in every regard, thanks to the dedication of Missouri HOSA’s staff and the enthusiasm of its members, new and old. Held at the Governor’s Office Building in Jefferson City, the workshop was a full day of exploring the inner workings of Missouri HOSA’s State Leadership Conference. The ten chapters in attendance received an overview of general rules and regulations, participated in activities, and competed energetically in a game to test their knowledge. Then, after a lunch break, students and advisors alike separated into small groups to actively learn about a handful of specific competitive events. Missouri HOSA’s State Officers, along with Missouri HOSA staff and volunteers, led engaging breakout sessions centered around particular events. Creative Problem Solving, HOSA Bowl, Clinical Specialty, Physical Therapy, Job Seeking Skills, MRC Partnership, and Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking were the seven (7) competitive events that each chapter had the chance to experience and learn more about. The closing session ended on a positive note as all questions were answered, and members shared aloud what they learned. We are honored to have given you some essential tools to succeed at the fast-approaching 2020 State Leadership Conference. Missouri HOSA, you surpassed our expectations once again, and we can’t wait to see each of you grow in your chosen event. Good luck!
