CONTRACTS THAT PROMOTE BUILDING PERFORMANCE

With more stringent energy code requirements and Local Law 97's emissions limits, it's critical that new and renovated buildings perform as expected. The next generation of construction contracts will need to change how liability is assigned to ensure this level performance.

Join Urban Green and the NYC Bar Association on January 14 for a lively conversation about the future of construction contracts that will keep up with the needs of high-performance projects. Thank you to Con Edison for sponsoring this event!

NYC'S SUSTAINABLE ROOF LAWS

Two laws in NYC’s Climate Mobilization Act aim to transform the city’s rooftops in the decades ahead. Local Laws 92 and 94 require that solar panels or green roofs are installed where feasible on all new construction and major roof renovations.

The new requirements took effect on November 15, 2019. Our just-released Sustainable Roof Laws Policy Brief, created in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, explains the basics of what you need to know.
