Hello <<First Name>>

What a challenging time it has been as the end of spring, early summer fires dominate our day to day. How lucky we are to have the Rural Fire Service a strong part of our town and the regular fire fighting team as well. Our best wishes and sincere appreciation go to all who have given their time to assist in any way.

Our Village Christmas Lights will be on each night through to the New Year. There are lovely light displays in homes throughout the village. Don’t forget to have a walk or drive around after the sun has set to see what’s on display.

President's Christmas message

Christmas is nearly upon us, decorations are being retrieved from the back of cupboards. Children count down the days to the end of school term and sleeps to Christmas Day.

However, our safety and happiness can not be taken for granted.  Nurses, doctors, firefighters, emergency workers.  People who provide essential services, power, water and transport, all forego precious time with family and friends to ensure our safety and happiness over the festive season.

Then there are those who have lost everything in this current round of  savage bushfires which have affected large areas of our country

So ‘tis the time to be jolly, but please spare a moment for those less fortunate. Share a meal with them, make sure nobody is alone on Christmas Day or simply seek out a fatigued firefighter and give a piece of Christmas cake and say ‘thank you’

So from myself and the BCA Committee, we would like to wish you and your families a safe and a very happy Christmas

Peter Gray
