Dear Resident,

Tomorrow's General Election will be the most important of our lifetimes.

I am standing at this election on my record of action, and I want to deliver even more for our area through my detailed local plan.

But I also want to protect our community from the threat of a Corbyn-led government, propped up by the Lib Dems and the SNP.

And so I'm asking for your vote in tomorrow's election.

Many of you have been in touch to say that you have already voted by post. Thank you so much for your support. For those voting tomorrow, please find your polling station here:
https://wheredoivote.co.uk/

Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party is gaining and is closing the gap. This is particularly true in London, at the expense of the Liberal Democrats, whose vote is collapsing.

So could Labour win tomorrow in Chelsea & Fulham? The answer is clearly yes.

My majority is just over 8,000. That is almost identical to the majority the Conservatives had in Kensington last time. Yet that majority was turned into a Labour victory by just 20 votes, making Kensington the most marginal constituency in the country.

Last time in Kensington, 2,000 previous Conservatives switched to the Lib Dems, which is also a risk tomorrow in Chelsea & Fulham.

The net effect was just enough to give Kensington a tiny majority for Labour last time. Of course, those 2,000 previous Conservative voters didn’t end up with the Lib Dem MP they might have wanted.

The Lib Dems finished a poor third with just 12%. Instead, they ended up with a hard-core Corbynite, in Emma Dent Coad, who is dedicated to putting Jeremy Corbyn into 10 Downing Street.

So we mustn’t allow Chelsea & Fulham to become the next Kensington. This is how Jeremy Corbyn could still win a majority and be in 10 Downing Street on Friday morning.

The only way to be sure to keep Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell out of Downing Street is to vote for Greg Hands and the Conservatives tomorrow.

I hope that I can count on your support.

Yours sincerely,

Greg Hands
Conservative Candidate for Chelsea & Fulham

P.S. Postal Voters should return their completed postal votes to polling stations tomorrow. Do not put them in the post now as they will not get back in time.

Labour are campaigning hard in Chelsea & Fulham – just ask their candidate

Labour are running the same strategy in Chelsea & Fulham that they ran to win Kensington last time. They are working hard with big teams on the social housing estates, energising a core vote, whilst hoping that the Lib Dem campaign in the residential streets takers Conservative votes. This is what they did successfully in Kensington last time in 2017.

The only way to be sure to keep Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell out of Downing Street is to vote for Greg Hands and the Conservatives tomorrow.

Greg Hands: I have two Labour opponents at this election

Like the SNP, who want a second Scottish independence referendum, the Liberal Democrats are also preparing to do a deal with Labour.

Jeremy Corbyn is very close to forming a Government with the help of the SNP and Liberal Democrats.

That means five years of Corbyn in charge of a hung Parliament and a wrecked economy.

The Liberal Democrats cannot form a Government themselves. But they would put Labour in power.

The Lib Dems have ruled out a deal with the Conservatives ('Jo Swinson says no to second Tory alliance', The Herald, 23 July 2019), so their only alternative is a Corbyn pact.

Jo Swinson has said that "there are plenty of people in the Labour Party that I can work with". (BBC Radio 4 Today programme, 23 July 2019).

And the local Liberal Democrat candidate herself has previously
tried to become a Labour MP, and even endorsed a vote for Corbyn as recently as 2017.

It is clear that the Liberal Democrat candidate here would have no hesitation in backing Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party in the event of a hung parliament.

I have always tried to do the best for my constituents. I have lived here for 29 years, and represented it as a Councillor or as MP for the last 21 years, 14 of that as MP.

And, I am the only candidate in Chelsea & Fulham with a
detailed plan to deliver even more for our local area. But, I can only deliver my plan if you return me as your MP tomorrow.

Whether occupied by a Lib Dem MP or a Labour MP, every seat the Conservatives fail to win is a seat for Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour.

There has never been a Conservative Government without a Conservative MP here in Chelsea & Fulham.

By returning me as your MP tomorrow, you will be depriving Corbyn of an extra MP he will need to form a government.

A vote here for the Lib Dems is effectively a vote for Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour. Your local vote will decide whether the Conservatives form a Government, and whether Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister.
