Good Morning Boston,

☀️ Bright and sunny. Highs 29-34.

Today: Vape shops react to lifted ban and new regulations; new poll finds immigration top issue in New Hampshire; House moves step closer to impeachment vote.

What's the most memorable gift you’ve ever received? Our opinion team, Cognoscenti, wants to know. They're working on a project inspired by this piece from the Chicago Tribune -- but they need your help.

Maybe it was an exciting trip, a signed book by a favorite author or a handmade scarf from a friend. No gift is too big or too small; it just has to mean something to you. Share with us by replying to this email or filling out this form. We'll share reader responses in a post before the New Year.

The Rundown

1. The State's Vape Ban Has Ended. But Some Shops Are Still Looking To Rebrand — Or Relocate
Retail shops are still prohibited from selling flavored nicotine under a new state law. But businesses can once again sell unflavored or tobacco-flavored vaping products. For many vape shops, that still doesn't mean it's back to business as usual.

2. WBUR Poll: N.H. Voters Hold Strong Opinions On Immigration — Even If It Doesn't Impact Them Personally
"We found that people had more of a view of what the impacts [of immigration] were the further away from themselves you got. And that's where you really saw, I think in the starkest relief, the difference between Democrats and Republicans."

3. Boston Councilors Amend 'Trust Act,' Approving New Limits On Police In U.S. Immigration Matters
The changes come amid revelations that Boston police have been closely coordinating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for years despite the 5-year-old Trust Act.

4. 10 Years On, An Open Mic For LGBTQ People Of Color Still Fills A Void In Boston
"You don't have to call yourself an artist to be in our space," the series founder Jha D said. "You just have to be able to communicate however you communicate and we will welcome you into this space."

5. House Expected To Move One Big Step Closer To Impeaching Trump Thursday
Democrats control the Judiciary Committee, so today's vote is considered a fait accompli, but it moves the articles of impeachment to a full House vote.
