The Artery

December 12, 2019

Hey ARTery readers,

We’ve made some changes to this newsletter that we think you’ll like. You read about arts and culture each week, but we want to help provide more opportunities for you to experience it in your community. So in addition to the local arts and culture coverage you want, we are now also bringing you ticket giveaways, deals and a more robust calendar of WBUR and partner events. Here are a few important things to know:

🎨 We’ll always include our must read arts and culture stories from the week, and a curated list of things to do, watch, eat and more from The ARTery.
🎨 You’ll always find your ticket giveaways about half way through this newsletter.
🎨 You’ll get a list of events from WBUR and partners -- just scroll down!
🎨 Any events that come from outside of WBUR and its partnerships will be clearly labeled as sponsored. We value transparency and know you do, too.

Let us know what you think of these new features by replying to this email. We’d love to hear from you.

The Latest BSO Commissions Are Beautiful But Fail To Distinguish Themselves

GIVEAWAYS
Enter To Win A Pair Of Tickets To Huntington Theatre Company's We All Fall Down Playing This January.

A hilarious new play about a family trying out new traditions for the first time. Linda and Saul Stein still live in the Westchester home where they raised their two beautiful daughters. But when Saul unexpectedly retires, Linda summons the family to celebrate Passover for the first time in decades. Linda tends slightly toward the theatrical (okay, a lot), and their family has never been particularly religious (okay, not at all). So their comic attempts to bring the Seder to life go from riotous to heartwrenching in this play from Huntington Playwriting Fellow and Somerville resident Lila Rose Kaplan, directed by Obie Award-winner Melia Bensussen. Can this family come together, or will an age-old tradition tear them apart?
