Ensuring Reliable Communication in Smart Grids

With the increasing volume of flexibilities from distributed renewable energy resources, Austrian energy tech company cyberGRID’s proprietary platform plays an important role in the optimization of distribution grid operation, as demonstrated in project InteGrid.
EU Commission approves multicountry battery project
The plan is to support research and innovation in the field of electric vehicle (EV) batteries with an investment of € 8 billion in battery projects across Europe over the coming decade.
Seven EU countries will invest € 3.2 billion in the project, scheduled to run until 2031. The Commission expects an additional € 5 billion to come from the private sector.
The project involves multiple sites across Europe, those being Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden.

On 22 October 2019, the general assembly of “Batteries Europe” took place in Brussels.
The event gathered over 200 companies and research organisations along the batteries value chain as well as representatives of the Member States and European regions.
