Der Süden Malis ist besonders stark vom Klimawandel betroffen. Die Zunahme von Dürreperioden führt zu massiven Verlusten in der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion, manchmal fällt die Ernte komplett aus. Die Lagerung der landwirtschaftlichen Produkte wird daher immer wichtiger.
So benötigt auch die Frauen-Kooperative in der Dörfergemeinschaft Finkolo, die seit einigen Jahren mit Unterstützung der Naturfreunde erfolgreich Gemüseanbau betreibt, dringend eine Lagerhalle für ihre Produkte. Mit einem Beitrag von 15 Euro unterstützen Sie den Bau der Lagerhalle und schaffen für die Menschen in Finkolo eine Zukunftsperspektive. Spenden für einen Ziegelstein für Finkolo sind auch sinnvolle Geschenke für einen lieben Menschen – auf Wunsch schicken wir gerne eine Geschenk-Urkunde zu.

Am 19. Jänner 2020 ist es soweit: Die internationale Kampagne „125 Aktivitäten für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung“ startet! Sie wird einen Überblick geben über die Vielfalt an Naturfreundeaktivitäten, die zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung beigetragen haben bzw. immer noch beitragen. Die einzelnen Aktivitäten werden unter #Naturefriends125activities auf Facebook und Instagram präsentiert.

Die Segel setzen für den Umweltschutz in Europa
Manfred Pils, Präsident der NFI, war bei der Jahreskonferenz des Europäischen Umweltbüros (European Environmental Bureau, EEB) und bei der EEB-Generalversammlung am 18. & 19. November 2019 in Berlin dabei. Hier sein Bericht:
Die Jahreskonferenz des EEB stand unter dem Motto „Sailing the winds of change for Europe’s Environment“. Die negativen Folgen des Klimawandels sind inzwischen spürbar, der Verlust an Biodiversität (z.B. Insektensterben) deutlich sichtbar. Ein immer größerer Teil der Bevölkerung, vor allem junge Menschen, fordern die Politik zum Handeln auf. Europa ist die Weltregion mit den besten Umweltverständnis und den am besten entwickelten Umwelt- und Sozialgesetzen. Die Jugendbewegung für ein klimabewusstes Handeln hat einerseits die Grünen im europäischen Parlament gestärkt, andererseits möchte die neue Kommission in den ersten hundert Tagen den „European Green Deal“ präsentieren. Eine wesentliche Rolle dabei spielen die Präsidentschaften, die besonders vom EEB – und das ist eine der Stärken des EEB – laufend in Richtung der Umsetzung der Nachhaltigkeitsziele in Europa betreut werden. „Frieden in Bewegung“. Die NaturFreunde Deutschlands veranstalten im Zeitraum von Mai bis Juli 2020 eine Friedenswanderung. Unter dem Motto „Frieden in Bewegung“ wollen sie auf die aktuellen friedenspolitischen Entwicklungen aufmerksam machen. Die TeilnehmerInnen setzen mit dieser Wanderung ein Zeichen, um die aktuelle friedenspolitische Lage zu kritisieren und für eine humanere politische Entwicklung einzutreten. ---->
Die europäische Umwelt – Zustand und Ausblick 2020. Europa wird seine Ziele für 2030 nicht erreichen, wenn es in den nächsten 10 Jahren keine umfassenden Maßnahmen ergreift, um dem Verlust der biologischen Vielfalt, den zunehmenden Auswirkungen des Klimawandels und dem übermäßigen Verbrauch natürlicher Ressourcen zu begegnen. Die Europäische Umweltagentur (European Environmental Agency EEA) stellt in ihrem aktuellen Bericht fest, dass Europa vor Umweltproblemen von beispiellosem Ausmaß und Dringlichkeit steht. --->

NFI christmas special: Donate a brick to the village of Finkolo (Mali)
Are you looking for a meaningful christmas present? Give joy to our planet and to people by donating a brick for the Naturefriends Climate Fund:
The south of Mali is heavily affected by climate change. The increase in periods of drought leads to massive losses in agricultural production; sometimes the harvest is completely lost. The storage of agricultural products is therefore becoming increasingly important. Also the women's cooperative in the village community of Finkolo, which has been successfully cultivating vegetables for several years with the support of Naturefriends, urgently needs a storage building for its products. With a contribution of 15 euros you support the construction of the storage building and create a future perspective for the people of Finkolo.

„Sailing the winds of change for Europe's Environment"
Manfred Pils, President of NFI, attended the Annual Conference of the European Environment Bureau (EEB) and the EEB General Assembly on 18 and 19 November 2019 in Berlin. Here is his report:
„Sailing the winds of change for Europe's Environment" – this was the motto of the EEB's annual conference. The negative consequences of climate change are now perceptible, and the loss of biodiversity (e.g. insect mortality) is clearly visible. An ever-increasing percentage of the population, especially young people, are calling on politicians to take action. Europe is the most environment-conscious region in the world with the best developed environmental and social laws. On the one hand, the youth movement for climate-conscious action has strengthened the Greens in the European Parliament, and, on the other hand, the new Commission intends to present the “European Green Deal” in the first hundred days. In this process, the following presidencies play a key role; the EEB is continuously supporting them in the implementation of the sustainability goals in Europe – and this is one of the EEB's strengths. The European environment — state and outlook 2020. Europe will not achieve its 2030 goals without urgent action during the next 10 years to address the alarming rate of biodiversity loss, increasing impacts of climate change and the overconsumption of natural resources. The European Environment Agency’s (EEA) latest "State of the Environment" report states that Europe faces environmental challenges of unprecedented scale and urgency. ---->
Save bees and farmers. The European Citizens' Initiative calls for a bee-friendly agriculture to the benefit of farmers, health and the environment. --->

Action de Noël de l’IAN : Faites don d’une brique
Vous cherchez un cadeau de Noël significatif ? Donnez de la joie à notre planète et aux gens en faisant don d'une brique au Fonds pour le climat des Amis de la Nature :
Le sud du Mali est particulièrement touché par le changement climatique. L'augmentation des périodes de sécheresse entraîne des pertes massives dans la production agricole et parfois la récolte est complètement perdue. Il devient donc de plus en plus important de pouvoir stocker les produits agricoles.
La coopérative féminine de la commune rurale de Finkolo, qui, grâce au soutien des Amis de la Nature, cultive des légumes avec succès depuis plusieurs années, a elle aussi besoin d’urgence d’un entrepôt pour ses produits. Avec une contribution de 15 euros, vous soutenez la construction de l'entrepôt et créez une perspective d'avenir pour les habitants de Finkolo. Les dons pour une brique pour Finkolo sont également de bons cadeaux pour un être cher – sur demande, nous vous enverrons volontiers un certificat cadeau.

Le jour J est proche : le 19 janvier marquera le démarrage de la campagne internationale « 125 activités pour le développement durable » ! Elle donnera une idée de la diversité des activités des Amis de la Nature qui ont contribué ou qui contribuent au développement durable. Les activités différentes seront présentées sur Facebook et Instagram (#Naturefriends125activities) à partir de janvier 2020.

« Naviguer dans le vent du changement pour l'environnement européen »
Manfred Pils, Président de l'IAN, a assisté à la Conférence annuelle du Bureau européen de l'environnement (BEE) et à l'Assemblée générale du BEE, les 18 et 19 novembre 2019. Voici son rapport :
La Conférence annuelle du BEE s'est tenue sur le thème « Naviguer dans le vent du changement pour l'environnement européen » (« Sailing the winds of change for Europe’s Environnement »).
Les conséquences négatives du changement climatique sont déjà palpables et la perte de biodiversité (par exemple la mortalité des insectes) est clairement visible. Une proportion croissante de la population, en particulier des jeunes, appelle les politiciens à agir. L'Europe est la région du monde la mieux informée sur l'environnement, et ses lois environnementales et sociales sont les plus développées. Le mouvement des jeunes luttant pour des comportements respectueux du climat a renforcé les Verts au Parlement européen et, d'autre part, la nouvelle Commission souhaite présenter le « Green Deal européen » dans les cent premiers jours de son mandat. Les présidences jouent un rôle important dans ce contexte, qui sont constamment soutenues par le BEE – et c’est l'un de ses atouts – dans la mise en œuvre des objectifs de durabilité en Europe. L'environnement européen – état et perspectives à l'horizon 2020. L'Europe n'atteindra pas ses objectifs pour 2030 sans une action urgente au cours des dix prochaines années pour faire face au rythme alarmant de la perte de biodiversité, aux impacts croissants du changement climatique et à la surconsommation des ressources naturelles. Le rapport le plus récent de l'Agence européenne pour l'environnement (AEE) sur l'état de l'environnement indique que l'Europe est confrontée à des défis environnementaux d'une ampleur et d'une urgence sans précédent. ----> (plusieurs langues)
Sauvons les abeilles et les agriculteurs ! Une Initiative Citoyenne Européenne réclame une agriculture respectueuse de l'abeille, au bénéfice des agriculteurs, de la santé et de l'environnement ! ---->
