What we need:
Specifically we are looking for Volunteers to help with the following jobs:
- Lifting and carrying boxes. We need people who are physically fit and able to carry boxes and crates.
- Sort the donations once collected from Aldi. This will be from 5.45pm.
- Compile the food into Hampers - from 6pm onwards.
- Distribute the food to homes across the Moss Estate and Macclesfield - if you have a car and are willing to transport boxes of food to a few addresses that would be very helpful.
Timings: Unloading and sorting will begin as soon as we return from Aldi at approx. 5.45pm. We hope to be finished with all deliveries by around 9pm. If you're able to help for any of that time we would be grateful.
Location: We'll be based at St Barnabas Church, Lyme Avenue, Macclesfield SK11 7RS Please come to this location. Please be aware of our neighbours and park either outside the front of church or in the carpark at the rear.
We need:
- Cardboard boxes for hampers
- Big bags e.g. 'bags for life'
- Freezer / insulated bags or boxes
These can be dropped off at Cre8 anytime from today onwards, or brought with you on the night.
Other donations: We are looking for other donations of store cupboard food (pasta, sauces, tins etc) and toiletries, sanitary products, nappies, wipes, baby food etc.
If you're able to donate your time on Christmas Eve to 'Cre8's BIG GIVE' we would be very grateful, as will the families and individuals receiving gifts on Christmas Eve. It's a wonderful way to spend the night before Christmas and share what we have.
