Quiet Rooms - A Welcome Addition to the Community

Whether it is for contemplation, prayer, or just a break to yourself – Quiet Rooms are being hailed as a welcome addition across the community. Earlier this fall, MacDonald Island announced the addition of a Quiet Room on the second floor adjacent to the gym following in the footsteps of the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, the Fort McMurray International Airport, as well as similar rooms in Municipal buildings.

Islamic Enhancement Fee

IEF (Islamic Enhancement Fee) is used by Markaz to retain our EA teachers for the Arabic, Quran & Islamic Studies programs. It is also used to support our Islamic/Quran curriculum, licenses and subscriptions. IEF is a genuine form of help and appreciation by an FMIS parent. We request all the parents to make the payment at the Markaz office at your earliest.

Bus Registration 19-20

Bus Charges: $200/month
IEF: $300/year (one-time preferred)

Markaz will take 3-5 business days to process bus requests starting September. To register over the phone, please call 780-791-1602 during business hours (Mon - Thu 8 AM to 3 PM) and in-office on Saturday (hour before & after Zuhur).

Markaz has extended the registration for those parents who missed to include their kids to the first inakte. Please register on the link below and bring your child(ren) to the masjid to attend either:
4 PM or 5 PM class Monday to Thursday at the Masjid
