Let Us Know You're Down for Snow
|
|
A scene to behold when the snow has freshly fallen. A pristine photographic opportunity until it is all blown away, trampled on, and patched with ice! Plan ahead of time and have Megan notified that you want winter shots! Next time we have a heavy dusting she will be sure swing by and get wintry exteriors. Let Megan know!

Each year the Town of Estes Park produces a wide variety of special events that draw visitors from the Front Range and beyond. Community sponsors help make these events possible, and planning for 2020 is underway.
There's still time to get involved with the 2020 Winter Festival, especially if you are a lodging property with rooms to spare! More information and an online application can be found here.
Special packages are available for businesses interested in sponsoring multiple events. To discuss sponsorship opportunities, please email events@estes.org. Here's what's on the schedule for 2020:
- Wine & Chocolate Festival: February 8
- Whiskey Warm Up: March 7
- Bigfoot Days: April 17-18
- Jazz Fest: June 6-7
- Wool Market: June 11-14
- Rooftop Rodeo: July 6-11
- Elk Festival: October 3-4
- Rocky Mountain Craft Spirits Festival: October 24
- Catch the Glow Parade: November 27

A Note From Miss Laurie Dale Marshall

The upcoming Winter Festival on Sunday, January 19 will include a Nonprofit only Chili Cook-Off. The Town is excited to offer this opportunity to local nonprofits for a fun chance to raise awareness of their organization and enter a chili to win a cash donation!
The Town has been very thoughtful and is providing money for ingredients so nonprofits will have no expenses to join the fun and have the chance to win a cash donation in the cook-off! Any and all nonprofit organizations will be invited to participate! The Town has allocated a total of $1000 in prize money, and I am challenging all of you to double it! This would make the winning donations: $1000 for 1st, $600 for 2nd, and $400 for 3rd place. That's makes this a big win for a local nonprofit!
All businesses that support this nonprofit chili cook-off will be represented as a sponsor of that portion of the event with your logo on a collective banner, as well as a listing as a sponsor for the entire Winter Festival on all promotions.
As a nonprofit director, this is time well spent for the chance at a significant amount of money. When every little bit counts, having a chance at $400, $600, or $1000 AND getting to share information about your good works, is a valuable experience! Help us make it happen!
Here's How:
If you are interested in contributing to an additional $1000 pot to be added to Town allocated prize money, please email me and I will forward to Town Event Leader, Beth Headley. Send your business name, the amount you will contribute. When we reach $1000 in total matched funds, I'll send an announcement to all of you.
We hope to know if we have this additional money as soon as possible so we can tell the nonprofits, so email when you can and Beth will arrange how to invoice you for this tax-deductible donation.
