Question about your uncoded WBBA II checklists
View this email in your browser
Hello Wisconsin Birder,

You are receiving this email because we noticed that you have one or more checklists in the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II eBird portal with no breeding codes.

In order to be included in the atlas, checklists must be in the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II eBird portal and also must include a breeding code.

Quick Guide to Fixing Checklists Without Breeding Codes

If you meant for these observations to be included in the atlas, please check that they fell within the proper time windows for breeding, and then add appropriate codes as necessary.

If you did not intend for these observations to be included in the atlas, then no action is needed. If no action is taken by January 1, we will move your checklist(s) without codes out of the atlas portal. Regardless of whether you take action or not, all checklists will still remain in your eBird account.

Thanks for your understanding! You’ve already taken the effort to locate and eBird your sighting, so it would be great to make sure that your information makes it into the atlas. This will provide even more value from your bird observations, and contribute to a project that will provide important information to help conserve Wisconsin’s birds.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at atlas@wsobirds.org, and we can help out.

Thanks!
Nicholas M. Anich

About the Atlas
We just finished our 5th and final season of data collection. If you have any other observations in Wisconsin from 2015–2019 that include breeding codes, submit them via the atlas eBird portal before the end of the year, when data entry will be closed.

We’ll spend the next several years reviewing data, analyzing data, and turning this effort into a book! To keep up on project progress, like us on Facebook or sign up to receive email updates.
