A Day with W.H. Auden

Auden has been described as 'the first poet writing in English who felt at home in the twentieth century'. Mark Oakley (see bio above) will discuss the wide range of Auden's poetry, and his conversion to Christianity.

In Holy Week 2020 at Sarum we are focusing on ‘Living in the Other Half of Holy Week’ reading the narratives of Palm Sunday to Maundy Thursday.  Sessions will cover the challenges facing the planet, the biblical response to the crisis and imaginative solutions.
