PXE CHRISTMAS DINNER

The Perry-Houston County Airport Christmas Dinner was a resounding success with approximately 65 people enjoying a ham and turkey dinner.  Our thanks to John Hughes for allowing us to hold our dinner in his hangar.  Our present terminal would have been a bit crowded with the number of attendees who enjoyed the evening. Those attending included  members of our local community, government leaders, EAA members, PXE family and friends and others.  We appreciate all those who took the time to celebrate Christmas with us.

You don't see too many Cessna canards in our area.  However, even with 300 HP, the aircraft still needs its other set of wings.  The pilot mentioned that the aircraft would leave the ground rather hurriedly with the canard addition.
Foreign-Born, but Local Home.
A Romanian IAR-823 stopped in for fuel and coffee last month (aircraft for fuel, pilot for coffee). The IAR-823 is a civil and military trainer aircraft built in Romania from 1974 until 1983.
