Towards a European student eID.


In November, almost 150 higher education stakeholders attended the conference “Towards a European Student eID”, hosted by the Humboldt University of Berlin. HEIs, National Research and Education Networks, national and EU decision-makers, student representatives and service providers engaged in fruitful discussions on the first results of the MyAcademicID project. Over 100 people took part in the OLA webinar.

 

The "Recommendations on the new Erasmus+ programme templates" webinar was held by the EUF in December in the context of the OLA+ project to discuss upcoming recommendations on how processes and document templates of the next Erasmus+ programme can enable more transparency, easier reporting, better quality assurance and significant efficiency gains, with the Learning Agreement template being analysed in greater detail. Over 100 participants attended the webinar, which provided a platform for a rich discussion on how the next programme can be made more student and staff-friendly while promoting better cooperation, inclusion and recognition. FESC report on Erasmus+ staff competences.

 
The FESC consortium finalised the analysis report of the Erasmus+ staff competences surveys. More than 2240 students and over 250 staff members involved in the administration of mobility programmes took part in the surveys.
 

 Green Erasmus discussed at the Erasmus Salon.

 Erasmus went entrepreneurial in Greece.



The first Erasmus Going Entrepreneurial (EGE) conference “POWERful placements in startups” was held in Thessaloniki on December 10th. Read more
 

 DocMob: new templates for doctoral mobility.

 
The DocMob project looked at the way doctoral mobility is implemented and managed in European Universities and the consortium is now working on developing a practical booklet for policy-makers and IROs on how to further improve and administrate Erasmus+ PhD mobility. Test the new templates!
 

Movetia higher education conference.

 

We were invited to attend Movetia's (the Swiss agency for exchange and mobility) annual conference for higher education. The discussion with the representatives of the Swiss institutions focused on the digital developments currently taking place and on how these changes might impact the functioning of the Erasmus+ programme. Read more
 

 Erasmus goes Digital in France.


With over 300 participants in attendance, the one-day event organised by the French Erasmus+ National Agency gathered representatives from International Relations as well as IT departments and focused on the political context and the technical aspects of the European Student Card initiative. Read more

2020 European Cultural Capitals.
As of 1 January 2020, Rijeka (Croatia) and Galway (Ireland) will hold the title of European Capital of Culture for one year.
