By: Jaime Dunkle
Guest speaker Jamie Almanzán of The Equity Collaborative led a training event on culturally responsive teaching and leading in the 201 edition of Building Bridges to Equity at McMenamins Kennedy School on November 21, 2019. Bars to Bridges, a program at MESD, hosted the event.

Educational staff from more than 15 school districts practiced constructivist listening that encourages students to discover their own solutions. Participants also reviewed their own identity intersections and role played discourse techniques. This slideshow is a review of the event.
