Willis Dady Overflow Homeless Shelter needs many items, including portable snacks, socks, mittens, gloves, scarves, thermal wear, joggers, etc. Place unwrapped items in gift bags or the boxes with the display. Thanks for helping to keep others warm in this cold weather!

Crafting & Caroling
Join Lisa Klostermann and Shannon Kelly in spreading the holiday spirit! Join them on Christmas Eve to make a snowman craft at 9am then head to the Hiawatha Care center for caroling at 10:30am. Come to either event or both!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Tuesday, December 24 at 5 pm
Licensed Unity Leaders Barb Buchanan, Jan Griffith, & Susan Liddell will lead the special UCR Christmas Eve Candlelight service again this year. We will also be serenaded by the wonderful music of Angela Dooley, Ericka Maynard, and Nina Swanson. It's a perfect way to start the holiday.

BOARD OPENINGS -- UPDATE
 The board met this week and reviewed the UnityCR Bylaws regarding the upcoming election of trustees. We have two positions that are open for appointment by the board, each for a one-year term. Kate Gregor’s position wasn’t filled and Vicki Genkinger will step down after this year. Both their terms expire in January 2021, and the board will need to fill them before we have the elections for other positions next month. If you are interested in being considered for a one-year term, with the option to run for a three-year term in January 2021, please let Laura Meade know before January 3rd. The board will make its appointments at its January 14th meeting or shortly thereafter. We will still have the election for up to three additional board members, for three-year terms, at the annual meeting January 19th. Sticking to this process and order assures us of staggered terms for board members, so we can maintain some continuity from year to year.

 BINGO is delayed!
The board voted to delay the BINGO event scheduled for January 10th, until we can hear from the congregation at the annual meeting. We want to be sure there is full “buy-in” on participation to ensure a more successful event.

Tithe Team
We're looking for two or three people to research local charities and make recommendations to the board for where our local tithes for 2020 might go. The research will include who the charity serves, how they align with Unity’s mission, what portion of their income goes to programming, and other criteria. See Laura Meade or any other board member if you're interested in being on this team. You cannot be affiliated with a potential recipient to serve on the team.

Description – This team maintains our bookstore inventory and lending library. They help people select books or merchandise and they serve beverages before and after the Sunday services. They also support and coordinate artists who want to sell their products. If you want to serve with this team, contact Jan or Susan.
