Annual review of the system operator’s performance
|
|
We have published:
- our annual review of the performance of the system operator (Transpower) for the period ended 30 June 2019
- system operator financial information as an addendum to their annual self-review.
Our review concludes that New Zealanders should feel assured Transpower is fulfilling the system operator role to a high standard and is striving to improve. As with our previous reviews, we were impressed with the system operator’s work on the project to investigate real-time pricing and the system operator’s project management in general.
We have recommended the system operator:
- include reporting of performance trends in its annual self-review of performance
- review the effectiveness of its security of supply practices.
Our annual review and the system operator’s annual self-review are available on our website.
