Part-Time work for Men increases Impact on Job and Top Sharing   


Part-time work for men is definitely on the rise. The job market landscape is changing rapidly.  It is just a matter of a few more generations until part-time becomes the norm for men as well. The baby boomers generation who made work their primary focus is slowly being replaced by generations who values work-life balance. 
 
In order to attract even more men to part-time work as a viable  professional track and to support companies in this cultural change, the TEILZEITMANN AG  project was launched 10 years ago in Switzerland. Since its foundation, Teilzeitmann has dialogued with more than a hundred companies with presentations and hosted information events about advantages of part-time work and its compatibility to maintaining work-life balance.

Today, the platform teilzeitkarriere.ch is recognized as the largest job portal for part-time jobs in Switzerland offering specialized knowledge and analyses on this subject matter. 
 
The platform also offers useful tips for starting a successful part-time career. Teilzeitkarriere  includes a job sharing portal and collaborates actively with association PTO (Part-time Optimisation). Statistics reveal men are also more interested to apply for positions as a job or top share as it allows them to continue a rewarding career on a part-time basis.
As employees are requesting more flexible working models, companies now understand the importance of such targeted diversity management initiatives as it offers them access to a much broader talent pool. One of Switzerland’s major economic and societal challenges is a shortage of highly skilled professionals. According to UBS economists, the strongest lever to combat this challenge is by increasing women’s presence in the job market. Notably, such mixed teams are more innovative and better equipped to face current challenges for business and commercial success. First Meet-up Job Sharing Ticino
In November 2019, the first Job sharing meet-up was held in the Italian part of Switzerland, in Ticino. This first event organized by SUPSI, PTO’s partner experienced a grand success, see info Meet-up Ticino.
