Risen Savior in Navarre Christmas parade
We hope that you'll come out and check us out in the Navarre Community Christmas parade on Saturday December 7 at 1:00 pm. We'll have candy to throw and invites to hand out for our Christmas Eve worship. Hope to see you along the parade route, which starts at the Navarre Library and heads south along Presidio St.
Special guest musician
Chris Driesbach will be at Risen Savior on December 8 to lead us in our music that Sunday. Chris is a traveling musician in our church body. He has played a couple of times in the last couple years, only during midweek. We are happy to host him in a few weeks for a Sunday.
Midweek Advent devotions
Midweek Advent devotion will happen on Wednesday December 11 starting here at 6:30 pm. We’ll take a moment for some peace from God’s Word in the middle of an all too busy time of the year.
Christmas Cookie Exchange
Our annual Christmas cookie exchange will happen next Sunday for fellowship. Every is invited to bring your favorite cookies to share.
Postcard invitations sorted
On Sunday we will prepare 6500 postcards for mailing out as invitations to our Christmas Eve worship. They will be counted and sorted and readied for mailing.
New Special Needs Ministry starting
Earlier in November we had a presentation regarding an opportunity to impact those families with special needs in our community. This last Wednesday the volunteers were trained. Next up is going to be advertising, planning, and finally our first worship. This will be happening in early February. More information will continue to come out.

Advent devotion for your family
In the days leading up to and following the celebration of our Savior’s birth, we are encouraging your family to read through the book of Isaiah. You can accomplish this in only 5-8 minutes each day! A booklet with questions to guide your reading is available at church this Sunday on the table by the front door. There is also an online version available at this link. The schedule begins December 1 and finishes up on Epiphany. Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!
New Adult Bible study topic
They are the generation everyone loves to dump on and blame for things. They are a huge generation that is really starting to come into their own and leadership positions in our world. The church already has them, but is in danger of losing connection to them. They are the millennials. How do we minister to them? What makes them unique? How are we currently doing and what best practices might we employ to do better at Ministering to Millennials. A Bible study discussion on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.

Giving opportunity
We have previously been able to take advantage of opportunities to help others in our community. There's been volunteer time or donating items for in need families. Recently one of our members made known they have a friend in need. Best way to help would be to provide some WalMart gift cards. The man is a veteran but unable to work from a recent surgery. If you can help please let Pastor know.
