LOCATIONS: Barton (Billington) Lock to Bidford Grange (Pilgrim) Lock
During the recent flooding a tree fell across the navigation on a narrow section downstream of Pilgrim Lock. Tree surgeons worked all day yesterday and were successful in clearing the navigation on this reach.
Following this flooding, the reaches and locks can be hazardous, so if navigating proceed with great care. Lock walkways may be slippery and there is a considerable amount of flotsam and jetsam in the water. River levels this weekend are predicted to rise based on weather forecasts and rainfall overnight.
