Dear Praying Brothers and Sisters,
Thursday (as we gathered with the people of Sagifa, Kapagu, Safa, and Hapatoga for Safa School graduation) the spiritual oppression was very real. However, Thursday morning is the same time as Wednesday night prayer meeting in the USA. By the time prayer meeting finished in the USA, we got up to preach and an incredible change came over the people. They listened like I have never seen before. They literally hung on every word of the message. We have said for months that everything is in place, but we are missing God’s power. Thank you, thank you for praying with us! Over 1,500 people heard the gospel so very clearly. Praise God we received the $10,000 for the initial down payment for the church building!
We will be hosting Christmas games at Kapagu December 23rd and 24th with a special service at Kesusaro on Christmas day. Then we will have New Year’s games at Keisusaro. Last year God worked in such a marvelous way through the Christmas games at Sagifa to help prepare for the transition to Kesusaro. This year we are praying to use the games to join all the other church plants together with Keisusaro. We expect hundreds of people each day. We need a total of about $5,000 to run the games. It will mean a lot to the people, but especially those of Kapagu who finally have peace after years of fighting.
The new computer lab and boys’ dormitory has arrived at GBBC. We have seen God answer so many prayers. Work on the curriculum, classes, and courses of study are going well. Please pray as we have a lot of work to be done before July of next year.
We have asked five churches to each pick a Sunday to pray for the salvation of the people of Kapagu. Different individuals have agreed to pray each day. For the first time ever we are starting to see the spiritual oppression faltering.
