The AGA’s 12 Days of Giving!
It's the Art Gallery of Alberta’s 12 Days of Giving with engaging programming, sales and special “pay what you may” admission days during the holidays. We know the economy is tough, so we've put together tons of free ways to have some fun this holiday season while engaging with your AGA. Join the AGA's 12 Days of Giving and don’t miss our newest exhibition In Golden Light on now.
1. Our annual Small Works Sale is on now until January 11 at Art Rental & Sales in the Lower Level.
2. December 8 is BMO All Day Sunday from 12-4pm. Sketch in the gallery, then construct a plaster sculpture or paint a portrait using tempera paint and gold leaf inspired by our newest exhibition In Golden Light.
3. December 11 Tours for Tots for parents and families with children aged 3-5.
4. December 12 from 6-7pm join a Community Tour for the exhibition Rebellious: Alberta Women in the 1980s during All Access Thursday.
5. December 14 at 1pm we are hosting a film screening, panel discussion and performance by Edmonton artist Maria Dunn in connection with our current exhibition Rebellious.
6. December 17 SWARM the Gallery! A free night just for youth 13-17 with activities, snacks and fun! 4:30-7:30pm. Sponsored by Maclab Enterprises.
7. December 19 Art for Lunch on Rebellious from 12:10-12:50pm.
8-11. From December 17-20 enjoy your AGA with “pay what you may” donation days (Suggested donation $5). We've also put together some special sales and offers including:
- A Shop AGA sale with items perfect for hostess gifts and stocking stuffers.
- 10% off the purchase of Engage, Advantage or Explore Gift Memberships during your visit. Also available by phone.
- Complimentary beverage: If you have lunch or dinner at Zinc you will receive a Kir Royale* or ginger ale with your meal. *must be 18 with legal ID
12. The Big AGA Grand Prize: During the month of December enter to win an AGA Gift Package which includes a Curator's Circle membership, a Chef’s Appetizer Board for 10 people at Zinc, a Birthday Party for 10 people and swag from Shop AGA. Fill out a ballot during your visit. A winner will be drawn on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
