December 2019 Update

Please consider Beth Chesed
in your year-end giving
Thank you so much for your prayerful and financial support this year! We could not effectively serve our kids without your help! Read on to see what's happening at our center and what the current needs are. May you have a blessed close to 2019!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26)
Update from Beth Chesed
Although the fuel shortage, manifestation, and roadblocks continue in Haiti, we are busy harvesting our Congo beans crops at the orphanage. We have them almost every year. To help the Cook with the beans, most of our children put their hands together to make the job easier. The beans taste so good with rice and we really enjoy them. The children really like doing this and they also love talking a lot while working!

Praise Adonai, we are all safe in the unrest and in this unsafe country.
Meet Geraldine Ovide
Geraldine Ovide looks like a top model and always tries to impress people. She is 17 years old and has a nice smile. Geraldine would like to become a bank employee. She will finish high school in three years and then will start at university, Geraldine loves to worship Adonai, and she also likes to watch TV shows.
From Our Director Hernst
We so appreciate your prayer and financial support as we seek the best for our children; their education is a top priority.
Previously l spoke about our plan to gradually take the children to a private school where they will receive a much better education. This year we have 21 students in private school. The school is located in a town that is not close of our orphanage. The children are growing and of course, outgrowing their clothing.

By next year we will have to either buy a bus or buy a bigger truck. I prefer that we buy a bus because we will not only use it to take the children to school, but also to take them on field days, the beach, or any activity that requires transportation.

Projects & Prayer Requests
for Beth Chesed Orphanage
  1. Steady monthly donations that match or exceed Beth Chesed's monthly expenses.
  2. A bus so that more of our kids can attend private school next year.
  3. A home for the director's family:  When there are no guests in the orphanage, Director Hernst, his wife Vania, their sweet daughter, Herline, and brand new baby boy Valensky use the space above the kitchen as their living area. Otherwise their living quarters is the area above the office which they outgrew. It is heavy on our hearts that these unselfish vessels finally have a proper home for retreat and refuge.
Thank you!

However you are led, we thank you for sharing our heart for the work Abba is doing in Haiti!
