Please take the D181 Climate Survey

You should have received a link to the District 2019-20 Climate Survey by email on Monday, Dec. 2. This annual climate survey is not only a requirement for all school districts in the state, it’s an opportunity to share how our District is performing with audiences near and far. More information can be found at www.d181.org/csci. If you did not receive the link to your school’s survey, please email communicatiosndepartment@d181.org.

Give Back This Holiday Season with KIDS Grants

Does your child have an idea for giving back this holiday season? Did you know that KIDS grants provide $150 to help make that idea a reality? Any District 181 student can apply at any time during the year.  Just download the application and guidelines  on www.d181foundation.org, fill it out and email it back to us. Grant money can be received in as little as one week. Any questions? Please click HERE to contact the District 181 Foundation.

CHMS Family in Need

CHMS Family,
One of our 6th grade students lost his mother to cancer over the Thanksgiving break.  The family is facing a substantial financial burden after incurring medical costs, lost wages of the father due to caregiving demands, and burial costs. They have lived in our community for years and have two sons, one at CHMS and one at Prospect. They are so appreciative of the support they are being offered during this difficult time.  If you are interested in learning more about how you can provide support to the family via a monetary donation or meal train participation, please click HERE to contact Kristin Korn, a CHMS parent or call or text her at 773-551-3423.

Toy Drive for Hinsdale Hospital

7th grader Kate Clopton and her sister Grace (CHMS ‘17) are once again collecting art supplies, books, crafts and small toys for the inpatient pediatric unit at Hinsdale Hospital. Anything from $1-20 is greatly appreciated as the hospital is right here in our community and they don’t have a playroom or receive any major fundraising efforts. The nursing staff love to give the kids something to do or something to take home.  Must be new!  Please bring to the collection box at CHMS.  The Clopton sisters and Hinsdale Hospital wish you many thanks.
