Sewer Projects starting soon!

The Desert Woods & Neighborhood Extension Projects are starting soon! The project is happening in stages, learn more at this City website.

If you live in Nottingham Square, on Desert Woods or King Hezekiah, there are outreach events this week.

Discussion items include:

  • What to expect during construction
  • Detours/Traffic Control
  • Tentative Notice of Operational Completion Issuance
  • Parking alternatives

Wednesday, December 11 at the Larkspur Center

6-7pm: Nottingham Square Subdivision Outreach

Nottingham Square property owners are invited to an open house to learn more about this project, scheduled to begin in January 2020.  Work in Nottingham Square Subdivision and on King Richard Court will not occur until Summer/Fall 2020.

7-8pm: Desert Woods and King Hezekiah Outreach

Property owners directly affected by the upcoming first phase of the Desert Woods and Neighborhood Extension Project construction are invited to an open house to learn more about this project, scheduled to begin in January 2020.

The Desert Woods group will also discuss stub-out locations - locations at your home will be staked with green flagging near the right-of-way at your property in advance of this meeting. Please come prepared to discuss yours.

Upcoming infrastructure bond

The City of Bend is considering how to fund major infrastructure projects and they are looking at a possible bond on the May 2020 ballot.

How can you be engaged?
  • Join us at our board meetings
  • Drop in on a CTAC meeting or contact members directly - CTAC webpage
  • Learn about the Transportation System Plan and talk to City staff - TSP webpage
  • Talk to your city councilors - ask them to meet for coffee or just send them an email - contact info
  • Follow what other groups are saying about this - realtors and environmentalists, bike enthusiasts and disability advocates, and more are all engaged on this topic!

US 97 Parkway Plan Survey

ODOT is conducting a survey ahead of plans for the major overhaul of US97 on the north end of Bend. This might not be in the Old Farm, but it's a major project with a price tag to rival the entire bond package described above! (This project is entirely separate from that bond)

Learn more about the project here.
