Well we are down to the last 2 weeks of classes this year, where has it gone?

Almost there .........but not quite.........!

Last class will be on Friday 20th December  so think about your choices and exercise with me before I take a well earned rest.

I love December with the Children, the excitement, the decorations, and I love the traditional side of Christmas and hope that the festive break is a happy and healthy one for you all.

We will be returning to class on Monday 6th January 2020 at 10am in Mongeham ..
The Christmas challenge is a HUGE success ,loving the obsession with the eyes and noses and don't even start me off on the scarfs! Will be pulling out the winning raffle tickets on the last week in class
Remember to put your snowman somewhere visible and think about me keeping an eye on you over Christmas!

Well done .......Still plenty of weight loss in classes again this week as well as certificates given out - you have been incredible to say the least. it's been great giving out so many certificates especially for this time of the year.
The number of members delighting in telling me how they managed this party, that meal out, situations that would normally be the downfall of their weight loss regime - and it really is down to you for being so focused.
You are still enjoying normal food and having a wonderful time to boot not least because you are glowing at all the attention you are receiving about how wonderful you are looking.

Nothing tastes as good as receiving a compliment about your weight loss!

(that's for sure!)

Most of the time my job is to help, encourage, cajole (bully) my members towards better results.

Sometimes though, my job is just to listen.

If a smile, or a kind word, or indeed a hug are what you need - it's in my job description.

Don't stay away if you are struggling, having a hard time or have totally lost the plot, come in this week and have some fun getting in the festive spirit.!

The last few weeks of class are always fun and scales are optional.

Weight Losses and achievements
Weight losses still going strong which is fantastic. As a club last week we managed to lose 80lbs which works out to be just under 6 stone.Very happy with that for this time of the year!
Celebrating soup

Soup is amazing! Filling, warming and packed with goodness - when you are having some quiet days amongst the busy ones - fill up on a low fat filling soup.
It's usually low in fat (especially saturated fat)
Usually low in calories - but watch out for cream and butter!
Great for sick people and those who have trouble chewing, digesting or are recuperating from an illness.
Great during dieting periods or if you want to lose weight quickly for a special occasion.
Thick soups (especially those that contain beans, pasta, eggs, meat, fish etc) can be used as main dishes and are a great way to get more veggies into your diet.
Easy to make - just boil everything up together and puree!
Freezes well - freeze it in portions and have soup ready to eat whenever you need it.
Cheap to make and to buy
Ready to eat in minutes - great convenience food.
Soup is filling.
Soup is hydrating.
Some soups are medicinal like chicken soup.
(especially if homemade) has anti-inflammatory effects and can help lessen the symptoms of a cold.
Adding a quick bowl of soup to your meals helps to avoid eating too many calories.
Soup is a great snack - try it in a cup or even carry it in a flask.
A warming and comforting treat any time of the day, any day of the year.
Make soup a daily part of your diet!

Well done

Well done to everyone for firstly coming along to class - often coming through the door is the hardest part.

Well done to everyone who has improved their fitness, improved their health -come off tablets, dropped metabolic years of their age.

Well done to everyone who has lost inches, toned up and dropped dress sizes.

Well done to everyone who has made new friends and enjoys the social side of coming to class.

And finally ...... and I have left this to last as it's not all about this - well done to everyone who has lost weight from 1 lb to 1 stone to 4 stone!
Every pound matters and every pound counts - because you are a step closer to your goal weight.

Well done to everyone who has maintained that great weight loss - this is so important too and I believe coming along to class helps you do that.
So give yourself a big clap and congratulate yourself for all you have achieved this year. Of course we all have difficult days, weeks and even months when we have all struggled but take a second to look at what you have achieved and be proud of yourself!

I always like to leave you with a little something to think about - we all know that the scales are likely to go up rather than down at Xmas. If we eat an extra 500+ calories a day over xmas , its easy to see how it all adds up.
For some, self control goes out the window!
We must get out of this mindset that xmas only comes once a year and it's a green light for indulgence!! How good your christmas is, isn't gauged by how much weight you put on!

We know Xmas food is high in calories, loaded with fat and sugar BUT there are lots of healthier options - Go for quality and not quantity this year.
Too much choice and we eat too much.
VALUE YOUR BODY this Christmas - eat a healthy diet 80% of the time and that leaves 20% for some not so healthy treats.

So don't wait until after Christmas to manage your weight - it's not what you eat between Christmas and new year that matters but in fact between new year and Christmas that makes the most difference.

Enjoy your Sunday evening
See you in class
