Colloquium 2020 in Stellenbosch, South Africa
As we’ve mentioned in the previous newsletter, we have finalized our second colloquium programme scheduled for 10-11 March 2020. There will be an interesting combination of panel discussions, soapbox sessions and networking opportunities. Please diarize it if you are interested in attending.

The first colloquium provided us with very interesting insights into the current practices of the universities that attended the event. We would like to build on this and further our network by exploring the three focus areas of the ADUN (i.e. innovation, networking and scholarship) further in the 2020 colloquium. We will also then elect a steering committee to guide the future workings of the network at that event.
Colloquium Attendance
To provide as many as possible institutions the opportunity of representation, we are currently limiting institutional representation to two people per institution. We will, however, make use of a waiting list whereby additional interested parties will be notified when extra places become available. Please register your interest in attending by clicking here.
Colloquium Format
We are aiming to align the colloquium programme with the three outcomes of the ADUN namely:
  • Scholarship: To advance scholarship within the field of educational technology
  • Innovation: To innovatively broaden the field of African educational technology theory and practice
  • Network: To interact with peers and academics representing or who are interested in African perspectives related to educational technologies in the HE curriculum
We will have invited colleagues from different institutions to participate in a panel discussion related to innovation. A keynote will address the issue of scholarship and how we can aim to forward the field of educational technology. And last, but not least, we have created an opportunity for your voices to be heard with our networking session which will take the format of ‘Soapbox Opportunities.

If you are interested in participating in the soapbox session, please submit your abstract here.
Kind regards,

ADUN coordinator
