Free evidence-based practice ebooks
Our newsletter this month focuses on The Joanna Briggs Institute collection of ebooks. The JBI has developed an evidence-based practice model that is considered a benchmark in the global healthcare industry.

The tools, approaches, and processes of this model are all available as part of an ebook collection freely available to staff and students at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. Read on to find out more!
Who are these books aimed at, and what can I learn from them?
The collection is aimed at clinicians, managers, and all other healthcare professionals. Among the key outcomes of this collection, readers will be able to access tools which will help them to:
  • Evaluate qualitative and quantitative research
  • Conduct systematic reviews
  • Discover methodologies for assessing clinical evidence and translate it into clinical practice
  • Appraise evidence from intervention and diagnostic accuracy studies
  • Learn ways to minimize risks from adverse events
How to access
The collection is free to access with an OpenAthens account under East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
You can browse the full list of titles by logging in with your OpenAthens account on the Ovid platform.
