Dear Friend,

This fall, many of you shared your wishes on Yoko Ono's Wish Tree installation at LMCC's Arts Center at Governors Island. These were some of them:
  • Health and happiness for everyone
  • To simplify life and possessions
  • That one day people can live in an equal, fair society
  • A world without climate crisis
  • Freedom
  • World peace
  • To create more art
Here at LMCC, our wish is to continue to serve, connect, and make space for artists and community, from Inwood to the Battery, and on Governors Island.
In 2019, we helped 300+ artists and arts organizations make their local presentations and programs a reality, and supported artists through much-needed studio space with room for them to breathe and learn together. We slowed down to explore the beauty of Lower Manhattan through art and performance in our River To River Festival, and we opened our newly expanded Arts Center at Governors Island

With you, our community, we discovered art rooted in activism and explored the idea of caring for oneself, the environment, and others. If you didn't get a chance to share your memories with us, won't you take a minute now to spread some holiday love for LMCC? Just tag @LMCC_NYC.

And as you're considering your year-end contributions, please remember LMCC. Your support goes directly to funding opportunities for artists and free programs for our community. Thank you!

We look forward to seeing you in 2020, and wish you the warmest of holidays,
