Have you thought about the difference between being motivated and being inspired? It will help you shape your approach to the day, or better yet, your entire 2020.

I have somehow managed to take time every day to read a handful of e-newsletters. It wasn’t necessarily intentional (although it should’ve been) but there are just so many smart people in the marketing/advertising world and beyond who share great advice on the daily. More about who they are another day…

I have my top reads – people who I know are going to inspire me and give me something to think about. Case in point: Anthony Iannarino. He recently said this in his weekly send, “Inspiration may provide motivation, but motivation isn't found in things external. The word motive means that something provides a motive for one to act. While people can inspire you, they cannot motivate you. What motivates one to act comes from inside.”

His words hit the bullseye as to why I wanted to write monthly about #marketingmotivation. While the motivation is up to you, I’ll feel fulfilled if I give you a little inspiration to persevere, do things better, or just keep going with whatever marketing project you’ve got on your hands at the moment.

Let inspiration drive you and motivation take over. #motivationmonday #marketing

  5. This book will help you balance “How can I do it all?” and “What can I go big on?”
