Membership News December 2019
Hi all

I've just had the pleasure of meeting with three student interns who will be joining YWF to support our work around youth voice over the coming year.

Anika will lead on the re-launch and running of our Young Ambassador programme in the new year. She'll be out to meet with many of you over the coming months as part of the recruitment campaign. We hope this programme will be an opportunity for young people from across the YWF membership to share their views & get involved in youth social action, peer research, training and fun social activities.

Shrooq and Devika are joining us as part of their Public Policy & Management MSc course from King's College London. They will be co-ordinating our second peer researched needs analysis, an update to our A City Within A City report, in collaboration with our Young Ambassadors, YWF members & partners from across the borough. We hope to launch that research in Spring 2020.

Youth voice is at the heart of our work, and we aim to support meaningful mechanisms for youth voice throughout our Westminster community. It's something we'll be looking for in applications for our Brighter Futures Fund. We received a large amount of applications and a really interesting selection of projects. The panel will meet on Dec 19th and we'll be informing members of the outcome after this date.

It was brilliant to see some of you over a mince pie at our festive membership event at the Donmar last week. For those I didn't get to see - from all the team at YWF we hope you enjoy the festive celebrations and have a wonderful start to 2020!

All the best,

Phil
