The WA Alliance to End Homelessness and the Youth Affairs Council of WA, have developed the Youth Homelessness Action Plan in close consultation with the Homelessness Youth Advisory Council.

Approaches to Wicked Problems Undergraduate Unit

The McCusker Centre for Citizenship at UWA has partnered with the WA Alliance to End Homelessness to deliver the summer school unit 'Approaches to Wicked Problems'. Enrolments are now open.

The WA Alliance to End Homelessness supports the #YourHelpWA campaign to send a clear message to the McGowan Government that more funding is urgently needed to help vulnerable and at-risk people.

Funding boost to homeless


The McGowan Labor Government will develop two 'Common Ground' facilities to house and support people who are sleeping rough or experiencing chronic homelessness.

 Discharges increase


Last financial year, 44 people were discharged from Geraldton Hospital without a home to go to. The number is higher than during the previous financial year.

‘Tsunami’ of older homeless 


Older Australians are increasingly at risk of homelessness, with life shocks in senior years leaving many without a roof over their head for the first time, new research shows.

Rent still too high for many


The Rental Affordability Index has released a damning assessment of housing affordability, with single-pensioner households paying an average of 65% of income on rent.
