THE CHRISTMAS GIFT

Long ago in Bethlehem - a miracle was born
Sent on a mission of healing - to repair what had been torn

The angels were singing praises - and glory to the King
For the manger contained a promise - Of new life He would bring

He did it because of love - and the difference He’d make
Though it was on the beginning -  of the road He’d take

The journey wouldn’t be easy - but the outcome He could see
Hope for all mankind - and a chance for eternity

I’m reminded of our Saviour - as we celebrate another Christmas Day
Whose love still shines from above - to light and direct our way

PRAYER FOCUS

"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado
Remember NOONTIDE PRAYER every day.

Prayer Points -  (compiled by Joy Butler)

1          Please pray for WCTU in Australia that the year end will bring rest and refreshment to the leaders and restore them to full energy and renewed courage in the new year.

2          Please pray for the many aged members of WCTU in Australia that they will enjoy a beautiful peaceful Christmas with their family and friends.

3          Please pray for the many young people throughout our community of WCTU that they will be touched with the truths about alcohol and the SAD poisons.

4         Please pray for the children of our nation that they will hear true messages of God and righteousness over the Christmas season.

5             Please pray for the work in South and Central Australia where WCTU members reach out with the FASD message to the First Nation people.

6          Please pray for your loved ones that they will respond to the WCTU message and accept the freedom God offers them in living alcohol-free lives.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS for you

The gifts I'd leave beneath the tree
Aren't those that you can touch or see
But gifts to bless you every day
The gift of friendship warm and true
Is one that I would leave for you
Good health and happiness and cheer
To keep you smiling through the year
The gift of peace that comes from God
With prayer to guide each path you trod
And when your heart has lost its song
The gift of hope to cheer you on
These are the gifts I'd leave for you
