After all our hard work, it's time to kick back and relax. Please join us Saturday, December 14, 6pm, 437 Piedmont Rd, Columbus, for our OH12 Holiday Party. It's a potluck, so bring food or drinks to share. Feel free to bring a friend/ partner/ significant other/ random person who needs the company of like-minded folks for a relaxing holiday evening where we can freely celebrate the upcoming impeachment of you know who (or ignore him altogether).

Bring your Holiday Gifts for the Community

At the party we will be collecting items for our OH12 holiday giving--gift cards, blankets, sheets, pots and pans, socks, gloves, hats and coats, as detailed in the flyer below. We currently have approximately $300 in gift cards... Just $450 to go to reach our goal of $750.

Friday, 12/20 at 9am we will deliver our holiday gifts to CRIS.

Do you like to Honk?
Our "Honk for Impeachment" rallies will be held the night before the House votes -- most likely Tuesday 12/17 or Wednesday 12/18 -- at 5:30pm. We're getting ready!

Honkers: We are looking for folks who prefer to stay in the warmth and comfort of their cars who will spend some time driving by and HONKING, thereby seeding other honks. Just show up and start honking when you see signs!
Marshals: We're also looking for people willing to be MARSHALS to help make sure everyone stays on the sidewalk, to help answer questions, and to deal with any press or protesters. Show up 30 minutes early if you want to help, or reply to this email for more information.

Wednesdays 12/11, 12/18: Holiday Post Card Happy Hours, with Mid-Ohio Indivisible, 5pm, The Phoenix Brewing Company, 131 N Diamond St, Mansfield. "Let's upcycle some holiday cards to use as PostCards to Florida Voters for December. Look for cards with a generic /secular winter season image and cut them down to 3 1/2 X 5 1/2" size. Donations for postage and post cards always welcome!"

Thursday, 12/12: Lunch and Learn - Nonviolent Civil Resistance, 12-1:30pm, 394 E Town St, Columbus. Hosted by Ohio Voice. "Over the last 10 years social movements have reshaped how we talk about race, gender, inequality, the climate, our criminal justice and immigration systems. Nonviolent movements have defined our politics over the last decade. Come join a conversation about the theory and practice of nonviolent civil resistance with James Hayes, Deputy Director of Ohio Voice. Thursday, 12/12: Thursday Action Group, Noon-2pm. Pack a lunch and join us for a postcard session at the Clintonville home of one of our members. (For address, directions or any questions, please send an email to cooper.deborah3@gmail.com.) Joe Knapp has provided addresses for voters who have recently moved to OH12, but haven’t yet updated their addresses. We also have postcard, stamps and a sample script. Hope you can join us! FYI, this will be our last formal Thursday Action Group meeting until after the first of the year. Best wishes to all of you wonderful people for a great holiday season!

Friday, 12/13: Demand Stivers Vote to Impeach, 4pm, 3790 Municipal Way, Hilliard. Join Indivisible Ohio District 15 and Common Cause to ask why Stivers is once again on the wrong side of history in his steadfast support for tRump. We'll present his staff with the Common Cause report elucidating the case for impeachment.

Saturday, 12/14: Indivisible Ohio District 12 Holiday Party!, 6pm, 437 Piedmont Rd, Columbus. Potluck: bring food or drink to share. We will be collecting gift cards, socks, and other items, as listed on the flyer at the top of this email! OH12 and allies all welcome. See you there!

Thursday, 12/19: How Courts Work & Their Importance with Indivisible Westerville, 7-9pm, Westerville Public Library, 126 S State St, Westerville. Join Indivisible Westerville & Indivisible OH12 for a presentation from the Ohio Fair Courts Alliance! Come to this presentation and learn about:
1. The structure of the Ohio court system, including state and federal courts;
2. How courts impact you individually and as a community;
3. Pros and cons of how judges are selected;
4. Why fair and impartial courts are important;
5. Challenges and opportunities facing Ohio’s judicial system, and
6. What the public can do to improve our courts.

Friday, 12/20: OH12 Holiday Gift Delivery at CRIS, 9am, 1925 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus. Join OH12 members as we deliver our holiday gifts to CRIS. This will be a short event, but full of holiday and community cheer.

Thursday, 1/2: Swearing In of Merisa Bowers, 7-8pm, City Of Gahanna - City Hall, 200 S Hamilton Rd, Gahanna. Please join us for the swearing-in of Merisa Bowers to Gahanna City Council by State Representative Mary Lightbody. All friends, families and children welcome to attend.

Sunday, 1/5: OH12 Voter Registration Training PLUS, 2:30-4pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library - Northern Lights Branch, 4093 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Meeting Room 3. Come learn or re-learn the basics of Voter Registration, PLUS, important info on how to head up a VR mini-team. Training in how to use Sign Up Genius and more. Open to all!

Sunday, 1/12: OH12 Voter Registration Training, 2-3:30, Old Worthington Library, 820 High St, Worthington. Voter registration training in time for second semester college student activity fairs! Come learn the ins and outs of how to register voters and get signed up to start registering voters right away!

Wednesday, 1/15: January Postcard Party & Happy Hour, 6-8pm, Roosters, 3370 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus. Join us as we write to registered progressive voters who have moved but haven't updated their voting address. We'll also chat about upcoming opportunities to register voters and other activities. We'll be in the back room of Roosters and will have plenty of postcards, stamps, and markers. We just need you to help us write!
